Job summary

Total E&P Malaysia invites a geophysicist to provide geophysical support to TEPMY asset teams, focusing on seismic data analysis, interpretation, and field development optimization.

You will build geophysical models, perform depth conversions, support drilling planning, and prepare technical reports while collaborating with geologists, reservoir engineers and petrophysicists to ensure an integrated subsurface understanding.

Qualifications

• Experience in seismic data interpretation and depth conversion.
• Ability to collaborate with geologists, reservoir engineers and petrophysicists.
• Experience in reporting and documentation for internal reviews.

Responsibilities

Job description

Individuals will provide geophysical support to TEPMY asset teams in the following areas:

• Data Analysis and Interpretations: Assist in processing and interpreting seismic data for subsurface imaging. Support structural and stratigraphic interpretation to identify prospects and optimize field development.
• Mapping & Modelling:Contribute to building geophysical models and integrating them with geological and petrophysical data. Perform depth conversion using various methodologies and conduct uncertainty analysis to enhance reservoir characterization.
• Field & Operational Support:Provide geophysical support during drilling and well planning activities, including shallow hazard identification and drill site safety assessment. Monitor acquisition and quality control of seismic surveys when required.
• Reporting & Documentation: Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for internal reviews and decision making. Maintain accurate records of geophysical data and interpretations.
• Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams (geologists, reservoir engineers, petrophysicists) to ensure integrated subsurface understanding. Assist in planning and oversee seismic reprocessing and inversion studies according to TotalEnergies standards with collaboration from all subsurface disciplines.
