Job summary

AECOM in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an entry-level Geotechnical Engineer to join our infrastructure team. You will assist with basic data gathering, calculations, and reporting under supervision and work on routine design tasks across large civil projects.

The role offers on-site exposure, collaborative learning with seasoned engineers, and opportunities to develop practical geotechnical skills while contributing to major infrastructure programs in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Fresh graduates with strong academic background in geotechnical engineering.
• 1–3 years geotechnical experience preferred.
• Experience in geotechnical design, site investigation, foundation engineering, earth retaining systems, or underground works advantageous.
• Familiarity with PLAXIS or GEO-STUDIO is beneficial.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
• Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems with other engineering disciplines
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in electrical engineering technology and industry best practices
• Assist in design reports, calculations, drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and project schedules

• Fresh graduates with a strong academic background and a keen interest in developing a career in geotechnical engineering are encouraged to apply.
• Candidates with 1–3 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience will be preferred.
• For candidates with 1-3years, experience in geotechnical design, site investigation, foundation engineering, earth retaining systems, or underground works will be an advantage.
• For candidates with 1-3years, practical exposure to PLAXIS, GEO-STUDIO, or other geotechnical analysis and design software will be advantageous.
• For candidates with 1-3years, Experience working on infrastructure, transportation, or building projects will be an added advantage.
• Candidates should demonstrate a willingness to develop their technical knowledge and gain practical experience through involvement in both design and project/site activities.
