This role is suited to an experienced educator who can deliver engaging lessons, support strong student achievement, and contribute positively to a collaborative school community.
The successful candidate will have subject teaching experience and hold OCT or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. The school is looking for a teacher who can inspire students, maintain high academic standards, and support learners in reaching their full potential.
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Business Studies and Social Studies in line with the curriculum
Create an inclusive, positive, and well-managed classroom environment that supports effective learning
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress using a range of appropriate assessment methods
Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of students with different abilities, interests, and learning profiles
Prepare students effectively for examinations and other academic milestones
Develop lesson materials and contribute to curriculum planning within the department
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, attainment, and progress
Support students’ academic and personal development through effective pastoral care
Work collaboratively with colleagues, school leaders, and parents to support student success
Participate in meetings, professional development, school events, and wider school activities
OCT or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Experience teaching Business Studies and Geography at secondary level
Strong subject knowledge in both areas
Ability to plan engaging lessons and deliver effective assessment
