• Experience teaching Business Studies and Geography at secondary level.
• Strong subject knowledge in both areas.
• Ability to plan engaging lessons and deliver effective assessment.
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding, student wellbeing, and inclusive practice.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Business Studies and Social Studies in line with the curriculum.
• Create an inclusive, positive, and well-managed classroom environment that supports effective learning.
• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress using a range of appropriate assessment methods.
• Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of students with different abilities, interests, and learning profiles.
• Prepare students effectively for examinations and other academic milestones.
• Develop lesson materials and contribute to curriculum planning within the department.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, attainment, and progress.
• Support students’ academic and personal development through effective pastoral care.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, school leaders, and parents to support student success.
• Participate in meetings, professional development, school events, and wider school activities.
