Job summary

IKEA Malaysia is seeking a dedicated Goods Flow professional to oversee and improve in-store logistics, ensuring efficient goods flow, accurate inventory, and timely order fulfilment for a great customer experience.

The role requires coaching coworkers, adhering to SOPs, and aligning with the IKEA Code of Conduct while supporting sustainable practices and cross-function collaboration to optimise store operations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure goods flow employees adhere to SOPs and complete store-opening processes to maximise availability and minimise costs.
• Complete the total customer order fulfilment process to meet shopping experience expectations and handover to service providers as per agreement.
• Develop coworkers' competence and confidence by sharing expertise and guiding daily operations; contribute to store business planning.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support colleagues in other store functions and improve understanding of logistics support.
• Maintain knowledgeable and skilled teams dedicated to excellent customer shopping experience through product quality, inventory routines, merchandising and stock accuracy.
• Support the Goods Flow Manager to identify, retain and develop talents within the goods flow team for future succession.
• Ensure goods flow team comply with IKEA Code of Conduct, internal regulations and local health, safety, and security laws.
• Live IKEA values and nurture a strong IKEA culture to inspire extraordinary achievements in the store and goods flow team.
• Take responsibility to lower environmental impact and contribute to sustainable long-term profitability; optimise short-term store capacity for efficient logistics.
• Accurately execute assigned goods flow processes to support the IKEA value chain and service agreements with transport providers.

Job Description

• Ensure that goods flow co-workers adhere to SOPs and established working methods, finalise the goods flow processes before store opening to maximize availability at the lowest possible costs.
• Ensure efficient completion of the total customer order fulfilment process to meet customers shopping experience expectations, and to handover to service providers as per agreement.
• Enable implementation of team actions, by developing coworkers' competence and confidence by sharing personal expertise and guiding them in the daily operations. I contribute with input and feedback to the store business plan.
• Contribute to cross function collaboration by supporting colleagues in other functions and/or areas of the store, as well as to improve their understanding for how to support logistics.
• Ensure knowledgeable and skilled teams dedicated to guarantee an excellent customer shopping experience through quality of products, inventory routine, merchandising and stock accuracy.
• Supports the Goods Flow Manager to identify, retain and develop the many talents in the goods flow team, so we build future succession.
• Ensure the goods flow team have the right know how and are compliant to the IKEA Code of Conduct, internal IKEA regulations and local legislation relating to health, safety, and security.
• Live the IKEA values and nurture a strong and thriving IKEA culture that inspires colleagues to reach extraordinary achievements in the store and especially in the goods flow team.
• Take responsibility in lowering environmental impact and contribute to achieving long-term profitability in a sustainable way. Optimise the short-term store capacity usage to maximise efficient logistics operations, considering space, equipment and people.
• Through correct execution of the assigned goods flow processes, contribute to the tasks and goals of the IKEA value chain as stated in the Global Supply Chain Operational Handbook, local appendices, and service agreements with transport service providers.
