Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a Customs Officer/Import & Export Officer in Penang, Malaysia. You will ensure compliance with Malaysian customs regulations, manage import/export documentation, coordinate with brokers and authorities, and optimize duty costs while supporting internal stakeholders across procurement, logistics, and finance.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of relevant experience, with familiarity in HS classification, ERP systems (SAP), and strong English

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in customs operations, import/export compliance, or international trade.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian customs regulations and HS classification.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and customs declaration platforms.

Responsibilities

• Ensure import/export activities comply with Malaysian customs regulations and company policies.
• Monitor changes in customs laws, trade agreements, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and review customs declarations and shipping documentation.
• Coordinate customs clearance with brokers, freight forwarders, and logistics providers.
• Resolve shipment delays, customs holds, and clearance issues.
• Travel to DG at the beginning for 1–2 months as required.
