Job summary

You will oversee import/export declarations, maintain records, conduct risk assessments, and deliver training to staff on compliance requirements. Collaboration with logistics, legal, finance, and sales is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain or related field is required.
• 5 years of trade compliance, customs regulations or international trade experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of import/export regulations and trade sanctions.

Responsibilities

• Stay informed about changes in trade regulations, tariff codes, and export/import laws.
• Interpret and communicate relevant regulations to internal stakeholders.
• Monitor and assess the company's compliance with trade laws and regulations.
• Oversee accurate preparation of import/export declarations and permits.
• Maintain organized records of all trade-related transactions and documents.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
• Provide training to employees on compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with logistics, finance, legal and sales teams and with customs authorities.
• Conduct internal audits and implement corrective actions.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement in trade compliance procedures.
