Job summary

Averis Sdn Bhd, based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, is seeking a Tax Manager to lead corporate tax strategy and compliance across regional operations. You will drive planning, budgeting, and advisory work, coordinating with external consultants to ensure policy alignment and regulatory adherence.

The role requires strong technical tax knowledge, 3–5 years' relevant experience, and willingness to relocate as needed to support Averis' growing GBS footprint across markets.

Qualifications

• A degree in the related job field.
• At least 3 to 5 years of working exposure or experience in a similar role.
• Willing to relocate to the job location.

Responsibilities

• Direct tax-related activities in accordance with the tax strategy to ensure the organization meet its tax obligations and objectives.
• Involved in tax planning; research; compliance; reporting and filings; auditing; and communicating with external tax agencies.
• Handle and manage Group tax management and compliance.
• Prepare and monitor Group Tax budget to achieve optimization of effective group tax rate.
• Evaluate activities, policies, practices, and transactions to ensure they comply with all relevant laws and regulations.
• Ensure all tax returns, tax declarations, and other required reports are submitted accurately and on time.
• Advise senior management on tax matters and on the potential impact of laws and regulations on the operation of the organization.
