Job summary

EY is seeking a Senior Tax professional in Kuala Lumpur to manage tax compliance and advisory engagements for diverse clients. You will combine global processes with local accounting experience, ensuring high-quality deliverables and proactive risk management.

You will mentor junior staff, contribute to engagements, and help drive business development while collaborating across service lines in a dynamic, global team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of work experience in tax compliance or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Managing and coordinating tax compliance and advisory work for clients, focusing on implementing tax strategies that align with the client's business objectives.
• Combine standard global compliance processes and tools with local compliance and accounting experience to provide clients visibility and control of domestic/global compliance and reporting requirements.
• Ensure that work delivered to the client is of high quality.
• Anticipate and identify risks and elevate issues as appropriate.
• Coach and counsel junior team members to help them develop professionally and personally as influential team members.
• Participate in engagements, manage engagement economics by organizing staffing, tracking fees and communicating issues to project leaders.
• Support business development initiatives and build strong internal relationships within the tax compliance team and across services.
