Job summary

Motorola Solutions seeks a seasoned procurement professional to strengthen Global Supply Assurance. You will lead supply resilience reviews, coordinate with category managers, suppliers, engineering and executives to drive lead-time reductions and explore alternate sourcing options.

The role emphasizes strong negotiation, analytics, cross-cultural collaboration, and ability to work across time zones. A Bachelor's in Business/Management and 5+ years in purchasing are required, with Oracle MRP

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business/Management or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years in purchasing, procurement, or materials in a supply chain.
• Strong operational purchasing background.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with suppliers and internal teams.
• Experience using Oracle MRP and supplier collaboration tools.
• Motivated and energetic to accomplish tasks and goals.

Responsibilities

• Runs and participates in Supply Resilience reviews with Category Managers and Executive teams.
• Understands key products, Customers, and blockers to suppliers.
• Drives gating items to resolution with Purchasing, Category Teams, Suppliers, Engineering, and Exec teams.
• Explores alternatives: distribution, alternative suppliers, expedited freight, etc.
• Monitors Lead-Times and works to reduce long poles for key suppliers.
• Collaborates with Business Teams on short and long-term forecasts and communication.
• Supports potential alternate suppliers.
• Understands current and long-term shortages; drives shortage metrics.
• Provides training on escalation guidelines to sites.
• Communicates long-term supply concerns and drives solutions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Description

• Runs and participates in Supply Resilience reviews with the Category Managers and Executive teams

• Understands those key products impacting each business, key Customers, and what is preventing our suppliers from building

• Drives each gating item to resolution with both the Purchasing teams, Category Teams, Suppliers, Engineering, and Exec team

• Looks at all possible options to resolve including: distribution, Alternative suppliers, Expedited freight, etc

• Understands current Lead-Times and what the long pole is for our key suppliers, drives to reduce these Lead-times

• Works with the Business Teams to understand both short and long-term forecast and the communication to the teams.

• Participates in driving potential alternate suppliers

• Understands key shortages both short and long term.

• Drives overall shortage Metrics

• Provides training to sites on escalation guidelines, monitoring to make sure the teams are following the guidelines

• Effectively communicates long-term supply concerns, drives solutions

• Other duties as assigned

Basic Requirements

• Candidate must have at least a Bachelor's Degree in Business/Management or equivalent from an accredited college or university

• Minimum 5 years of experience working in purchasing, procurement, materials position(s) in a Supply Chain organization.

• Strong operational Purchasing, Procurement background required

• Good written and verbal communication to our suppliers and internal

• Experience using Oracle MRP and electronic supplier collaboration tools

• Motivated and energetic to accomplish task and goals

• Strong negotiation, analytical, communication, relationship and organization skill

• Able to develop and collaborate solutions to Motorola internal customer

• Relationship builder, strong customer service focus and change Agent
