Job summary

Motorola Solutions in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist with at least 3 years of experience in supplier management. You will drive category strategy, lead RFQ processes, negotiate contracts, and host QBRs while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance.

You will develop supplier relationships, perform spend analysis, and support capital expenditure planning across key categories, contributing to cost reductions and value for the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of procurement, supply chain, data analytics, category management, or supplier management experience.
• Strong problem-solving, negotiation and communication skills.
• Advanced procurement data analytics skills including forecasting and category pricing.
• Proficient in MS Excel or Google Sheets; familiar with ERP/BI platforms such as Oracle, SAP, Coupa or Tableau.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Experience in project management is an advantage.
• Energetic, positive, team player, willing to work in Bayan Lepas, Penang.

Department Overview

The Global Procurement Organization provides the resources, processes, governance, systems and controls for acquiring goods and services efficiently, effectively and ethically from a diverse supply base that provides Motorola Solutions a competitive advantage on cost, quality, technology, service and delivery.
The Global Product Procurement Organization is responsible for the acquisition of all Hardware, Software and Supply Chain Services required for Motorola to design, build and distribute Video, Radio and Accessory products. The Global Procurement team is evolving from more traditional sourcing and procurement goals by looking beyond simple cost savings and creating value for the corporation by improving product profitability, increasing supplier collaboration and leveraging supplier roadmaps to bring new solutions to our business partners. We are a client focused team designed to bring value and help lead innovations, revenue and savings within the business.

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Procurement Specialist, with at least 3 years related experience in supplier management. The responsibilities of the Senior Procurement Specialist include but not limited to the:

• Assist in category strategy execution.
• Develop strong relationships with suppliers with deep understanding of their organizations and capabilities to support short term and long term business needs.
• Drive the RFQ process, cost negotiations, project awards, and contract negotiations.
• Host Quarterly Business Review (QBR)
• Collaborate across diverse functional teams to achieve business objectives and regulatory compliance activities.
• Analyze category-wide procurement data to conduct spend analysis, identify cost improvements, and achieve annual cost reduction targets.
• Lead capex budgeting and monitoring to optimize capital expenditure across key categories.

Basic Requirements

In order to be successful, the candidate has to have:

• At least a Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or Business Administration or any related field
• Minimum 3 years prior related experience in procurement, supply chain, data analytic, category management, or supplier management.
• Effective problem-solving skills, strong negotiation skills and excellent communication skills with proven ability to work with people from various levels and functions.
• Advanced procurement data analytic skills, including forecasting methods and category price modelling.
• High proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets and AI productivity tools, alongside working knowledge of ERP/BI platforms (Oracle, SAP, Coupa, or Tableau).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Prior project management experience will be an added advantage
• Energetic, Positive, and a Team Player personality.
• Willing to work in Bayan Lepas, Penang
