Job summary

Jabil Circuit Sdn Bhd in Penang is seeking a Supply Chain Program Manager I to lead supply chain deliverables for design initiatives within the Product Creation Process (PCP). You will guide strategy for procurement, logistics, and manufacturing timing, working with cross-functional teams to optimize cost, lead times, and quality.

This role collaborates with mechanical design engineers and commodity management to implement value-driven supplier relationships, evaluate supplier capability

Qualifications

• Budgets and project management skills including scheduling and resource allocation forecasting.
• Proficient with common engineering software packages and ability to read technical documentation.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, regulatory bodies, and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to present information to top management and executives.
• Fluent in reading and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Supply Chain deliverables identified in the Product Creation Process (PCP).
• Performs situational analysis, strategy development, guidance and implementation for supply chain development, procurement, and logistics.
• Performs Design For Manufacturability (DFM) reviews prior to design release for various custom engineered applications.
• Performs cost estimating on custom engineered materials and tool costs.
• Collaborates with mechanical design engineers to determine cost-effective manufacturing processes.
• Assists with on-site supplier evaluations to assess manufacturing capability.
• Coordinates Supply Chain activities for all phases of PCP execution.
• Maintains periodic materials quotation activities and RFQ processes.
• Identifies and qualifies new suppliers to meet program requirements.
• Assists with negotiating pricing, payment terms, and supply chain optimization programs.
• Helps manage BOM and AVL control during design phase with commodity management.
• Promotes use of strategic suppliers through early involvement.
• Executes Early Supplier Involvement program.
