Job summary

Brooks Automation is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer II to strengthen our global supply chain in Pasir Gudang, Johor. You will drive supplier development, risk management, and quality improvements across engineering and procurement to meet Brooks’ stringent specifications.

You will manage audits, process validations, CTQ verification, and FAI submissions while coordinating with internal teams and suppliers. Travel domestically and internationally is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and good knowledge of quality systems.
• 5+ years in supplier development, quality engineering, or supply chain in high-tech manufacturing.
• Experience with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and PPAP/FMEA.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 50–60%).

Responsibilities

• Onboard and audit supplier facilities to assess QMS and capability.
• Identify single-source risks and develop contingency plans.
• Manage supplier scorecards and SIPs for red-status suppliers.
• Translate requirements to suppliers, ensuring CTQ dimensions are understood.
• Review and approve process validation and PCP packages including PFMEA, PCP, Gage R&R.
• Lead FAI submissions and CTQ verification with metrology alignment.
• Coordinate with engineering to resolve root causes and implement corrective actions.
