Job summary

MR DIY International is seeking a strategic and experienced Procurement Senior Executive/ Assistant Manager to lead our procurement function and drive sourcing excellence across our retail operations. This role requires expertise in supplier relationship management, cost optimization, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of progressive experience in procurement.
• Experience in sourcing from other countries.
• Proven track record of cost reduction, process improvement, and vendor management.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Strong leadership and people management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end sourcing process: vendor selection, negotiation, contracting, performance evaluation.
• Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers, focusing on international suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery.
• Collaborate with merchandising, logistics, finance and operations to align procurement with business needs.
• Continuously evaluate supplier performance and drive initiatives for quality, lead time reduction and cost savings.
• Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and external regulatory requirements.
• Lead, coach and develop the procurement team to build capabilities and high performance.
• Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations and supply chain risks; proactively manage issues.
• Drive sustainability and ethical sourcing initiatives in line with corporate responsibility objectives.
