Job summary

Vantage Data Centers is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to lead global networking initiatives and large-scale migrations, with a focus on APAC operations. You will design, build and maintain multi-site networks, collaborate with cybersecurity, and manage projects to meet strict SLAs.

12+ years in network engineering, data center experience, and CCNP/CCIE level credentials are required; travel and on-call duties apply.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive network engineering experience with multi-site global networks supporting highly transactional and highly sensitive data applications.
• CCNP/JNCIP/CCIE/JNCIE level or higher experience required.
• Data Center experience required.
• Fortinet proficiency can be advantageous.
• Expert LAN troubleshooting (Layer 2) including Spanning Tree, Port channels and stacking.
• Strong Layer 3 routing experience; work with ISPs to resolve latency and packet loss.
• Firewalls and VPNs knowledge; understanding of inspection and filtering techniques.
• Experience in network migrations; ability to create project plans and manage multiple projects.
• Proficiency in network design and architecture.
• Nice to have: Azure Networking certifications (e.g., Azure Network Engineering).
• Participation in on-call rota; travel 5–10% expected.

Responsibilities

• BAU network support during APAC hours.
• Lead large-scale network migrations in APAC.
• Drive improvements to processes and procedures.
• Design, build and support networks for corporate, security and building systems; maintain documentation.
• Create, implement and support standard processes to meet SLAs for uptime, reliability and performance.
• Assist in procurement, asset-tracking and inventory of network equipment and software.
• Maintain global network infrastructure and record issues with action plans.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity to enforce policies and harden the network.
• Lead large-scale projects with effective plans and timely stakeholder updates.
• Work from a company-designated office or field location; adhere to policies.
