Millennium Technology Services Co. in Kuala Lumpur seeks an senior data centre network architect to design and implement spine-leaf, VXLAN, EVPN, and multi-tier architectures.

You will lead L2/L3 design, ensure MAS TRM compliance, manage daily operations of the data centre network, and collaborate with cloud and application teams to deliver secure, scalable infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• CCIE certification (active or suspended within 2 years).
• 15+ years in customer-facing roles within telecom or IT industries.
• Strong design experience with data centre architectures and cloud connectivity.

Responsabilités

• Design and implement data centre network architectures including spine-leaf, VXLAN, EVPN, and multi-tier environments.
• Lead L2/L3 network design aligned with MAS/TRM regulatory requirements.
• Provide architectural guidance for data centre modernization, cloud integration, and network refresh projects.
• Manage daily operations of data centre network covering routing, switching, load balancing, and security components.
• Conduct capacity planning, performance tuning, and continuous optimization of network infrastructure.
• Ensure high network resilience through redundancy, fault-tolerance, and disaster recovery readiness.
• Implement segmentation, access controls, IPS/IDS, and zero-trust configurations; support audit activities.
• Lead regional infrastructure initiatives including upgrades, migrations, and SD-WAN rollouts.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement data centre network architectures including spine-leaf, VXLAN, EVPN, and multi-tier environments.


• Lead L2/L3 network design aligned with industry best practices and MAS/TRM regulatory requirements.


• Provide architectural guidance for data centre modernization, cloud integration, and network refresh projects.

Operations & Engineering

• Manage daily operations of the data centre network covering routing, switching, load balancing, and security components.


• Perform advanced troubleshooting across complex, multi-vendor environments.


• Conduct capacity planning, performance tuning, and continuous optimization of network infrastructure.


• Ensure high network resilience through redundancy, fault-tolerance, and disaster recovery readiness.

Security & Compliance

• Implement network security best practices such as segmentation, access controls, IPS/IDS, and zero-trust-aligned configurations.


• Ensure compliance with MAS TRM, internal audit requirements, and financial-sector cybersecurity standards.


• Support audit activities and remediate network vulnerabilities.

Project Delivery & Stakeholder Engagement

• Lead regional infrastructure initiatives including data centre upgrades, migrations, cloud connectivity, and SD-WAN rollouts.


• Collaborate closely with architecture, cybersecurity, cloud, and application teams for seamless project delivery.


• Work with vendors, telcos, and service providers on solution design, implementation, and issue resolution.

• CCIE (Routing & Switching, Enterprise Infrastructure, or Data Center) required, or equivalent expert-level capability.

Education & Certifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

CCIE certification (active or suspended within 2 years).

8-12 years of enterprise networking experience, with at least 3-5 years in data centre engineering or architecture.
