Job summary

Nexulyze Ltd in Malaysia is seeking a high-ownership Data Architect to design scalable, enterprise-grade data systems and define the architecture behind our data infrastructure aligned with product and business strategy.

You will lead cross-functional teams, guide critical technical decisions, implement AWS-based data solutions with Glue and PySpark, and mentor engineers to raise data quality, governance, and AI readiness.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in technology roles with 5+ years in data-focused positions and at least 1 year as Data Architect.
• Proficiency in AWS cloud-native architectures, including AWS Glue.
• Strong PySpark experience for processing large-scale datasets.
• Advanced SQL for querying, data manipulation, and performance optimization.
• Deep expertise in relational and NoSQL data modeling for scalable schemas.
• Experience in enterprise-scale data environments.

Responsibilities

• Architectural Blueprinting: Design scalable data schemas across relational and NoSQL systems.
• Cloud Data Engineering: Lead AWS-native data solutions with AWS Glue and PySpark.
• ETL & Integration: Build and manage sophisticated ETL pipelines.
• Data Warehousing & Lakes: Develop data warehouses and lakes with Spark, Hadoop, Kafka.
• Governance & Security: Enforce data quality, privacy, and compliance (GDPR/PII) with MDM best practices.
• Optimization: SQL query optimization and performance tuning for large-scale systems.
• Strategic Leadership: Align data architecture with Nexulyze's goals and AI readiness.
• Mentoring & Influence: Guide engineers and promote best practices.
