Job summary

VAT Group, a global leader in vacuum solutions, seeks a Product Manager for its Penang office. The role focuses on developing business, managing a product portfolio, and delivering fact-based proposals within a globally matrixed team.

The candidate should have deep product and account management experience, strong leadership, and the ability to drive profitability across customer programs while coordinating cross-functional projects and documentation compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in sciences, engineering or related field.
• PhD or Master's in engineering or MBA is preferred.
• 5–10 years experience in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Supports sales organization in regards to all technical & operational aspects.
• Driving the corporate strategy through a globally matrixed team across multiple functions.
• Proven knowhow to monitor profitability of existing customer products and deriving measures to sustain and increase profitability.
• Accountable for customization- & industrialization projects and technical customer documentation like manuals and product data sheets according to European machinery directive.
• Coordination of customer visits, audits and customer specific requirements across VAT group business units and legal entities for implementation into engineering and operational processes.
• Supervising changes in supply chain, manufacturing and assembly processes and preparing documentation for customer relevant changes and submitting it to customers following CE!, CEx and POR processes.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in sciences/engineering

PhD or MSc in engineering

MBA (preferred)
