Job summary

ExxonMobil in Malaysia seeks a seasoned Process Safety Engineer to join our Kuala Lumpur team, driving process safety activities across global facilities and providing engineering leadership in hazard identification, risk analysis and safety in design. You will apply PHAST, HAZOP and related methods to ensure safe and reliable operations worldwide, while collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related Petroleum Engineering field.
Minimum of total 8 years relevant working experience in petrochemical, oil and gas industry in Technical, Operations, Process Design, or Engineering functions.
At least 3 years of work experience in specific Process Safety Engineering job roles.
Demonstrated competency and experience in hazard identification, risk analyses and assessment methodologies (e.g. HAZID, PHA-Pro).
Knowledge of industry codes, standards and practices relevant to process design and safety (ASME, API, NFPA, ANSI, IEC) and RAGAGEP.

Responsibilities

Lead process safety engineering activities across global facilities, including hazard identification and risk analyses.
Provide engineering leadership in risk management decisions for ExxonMobil’s operating facilities.
Lead and facilitate HAZOP studies and other project deliverables.
Develop and execute quantitative and qualitative risk assessments and consequence modelling.
