We are currently looking for talented individuals to join us for the role of Senior Lead Engineer, Process Safety. We are based at KL Eco City, Malaysia.
Responsibilities
- Corporate Process Safety Procedures And Standards: Independently develop and review corporate Process Safety procedures, and review other corporate standards for consistent application of Process Safety Management and management of MAHs throughout the lifecycle of the fleet / facility.
- Corporate Process Safety Guidance: Provide process safety technical expert advice at a corporate and global level based on MODEC and industry standards, considering the entire lifecycle of the facility. Deliver high quality, practical and reasonably-implementable process safety guidance for the management of MAHs throughout the lifecycle of the fleet / facility.
- Process Safety Philosophy Preparation: Prepare and review HSSE Design Philosophy, and other process safety-related philosophies. Provide guidance to proposals / projects for compliance with company standards, client and regulatory requirements of safety-related systems.
- Safety Studies / Deliverables Preparation: Develop scope of work, perform safety consultant technical bid evaluations, participate in workshops, plan, review and deliver safety studies / deliverables. Ensure safety studies and deliverables are complete, correct, and on time, demonstrating risks are As Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP).
- Safety Critical Elements (SCE) Management: Organise / Lead Bow-Ties workshops, define SCEs, communicate performance standards requirements, review SCE design, and manage tracking and review of EPCI assurance tasks to ensure safety critical elements are designed, procured, constructed, commissioned, and installed in accordance with performance standards for prevention and mitigation of MAEs.
- Risk Consultant/Subcontractor Management: Coordinate and manage risk consultants/subcontractors to ensure facility risks are properly assessed in accordance with the scope of work and methodology, in a timely manner and on budget.
- Process Safety Team Guidance: Instruct and guide process safety engineers to collect risk assessment input data, review risk assessments, prepare deliverables, review other discipline deliverables, and collaborate with other disciplines. Issue accurate deliverables, minimize mistakes, and maximize efficiency. Minimise / manage deviations from company standards, client and regulatory requirements of safety-related systems.
- Performance Goals: Set and contribute to the achievement of Project / Engineering Performance Goals defined for the year / project.
- Regulatory Compliance: Collaborate with the proposal / project team, consistently check deliverables for compliance, attend audits and resolve non-conformities to deliver a regulatory compliant installation. Minimise non-conformities and delays to first oil.
Qualifications
- Minimum 18 years of relevant working experience in Process Safety engineering in the oil and gas sector for a bachelor’s degree in Chemical / Environmental / Mechanical Engineering.
