Job summary

Hong Leong Bank Berhad seeks a Project Manager to lead strategic, high‑criticality payment projects. You will oversee end‑to‑end delivery of SWIFT, RENTAS, PayNet (DuitNow, RPP, FPX) and Siron, aligning with BNM standards and global tech trends.

Reporting to the Head of Global Payment Centre, you will drive lifecycle delivery, ensure regulatory adherence, and manage interfaces with PayNet and SWIFT teams. Strong leadership and risk‑management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years in payment operations or project management, specifically with SWIFT, RENTAS, and PayNet systems.
• Deep knowledge of ISO 20022 message standards.
• Understanding of the payments landscape and emerging technologies like SAA.
• Proven rapport with PayNet and SWIFT is essential.
• Strong leadership, planning, and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle of payment system upgrades, from scoping to UAT and regression testing.
• Ensure projects meet BNM guidelines, AML/CTF regulations, and PayNet rules.
• Manage the migration and integration of ISO 20022 standards for SWIFT and RENTAS.
• Drive improvements to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
• Assess operational risks and implement robust mitigation measures for payment migrations.
• Deliver project statistics and analysis to senior management and regulators.
• Build and maintain strong rapport with PayNet, SWIFT, and BNM for smooth implementation.
