Job summary

Ambu's Global R&D organization seeks a Senior Manager, NPI Process Engineering & Automation to lead development, industrialization, and deployment of manufacturing processes, equipment, and automation solutions for new product introductions.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team across Process, Automation, and Equipment Engineering, drive DFM/DFA, and partner with R&D, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and suppliers to accelerate commercialization while reducing risk and cost.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of R&D, manufacturing engineering, process engineering, automation, or NPI experience.
• 5-10 years of leadership experience managing engineering teams.
• Experience industrializing complex medical devices, electronics, electromechanical products, or high-volume regulated products.
• Experience working in a regulated environment such as Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences, Electronics, or similar industries.
• Experience working with global teams, suppliers, and manufacturing sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary team of Process Engineering, Automation, and Equipment professionals.
• Drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) to enable scalable production.
• Lead development, qualification, and deployment of manufacturing equipment and automation systems.
• Collaborate with R&D, Operations, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, and Procurement.
• Ensure engineering activities comply with medical device regulations and quality systems.
