Job summary

Baxter in Malaysia is seeking a Global Liabilities & Prepaid Associate Accountant to manage liabilities and prepaid accounting within our shared services framework. The role requires strong US GAAP knowledge, solid analytical skills, and collaboration across finance and non-finance teams to support monthly close, reporting, and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience.
• Proven experience in a multinational environment and/or audit.
• Good knowledge of US GAAP.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare manual journals as needed with adequate supporting documentation.
• Complete assigned account reconciliations in Blackline per deadlines.
• Respond to queries from local country finance in a timely manner.
• Provide audit support as needed.
• Support regional and global reporting requirements such as monthly Balance Sheet & P&L Flux analysis.
• Support monthly/quarterly/annual close processes.
• Ensure adherence to policies, audits, and local regulations; strengthen financial controls.
• Support local, regional, and global projects; look for continuous process improvements.
