Job summary

Abbott in Malaysia is seeking an IT Network Design Engineer (Physical Infrastructure) to lead design and implementation of global IT infrastructure, including hosting environments and acquisition/divestiture activities. Based at Imazium, Damansara, Kuala Lumpur, the role collaborates with stakeholders to deliver secure, compliant hosting environments.

You will design low‑voltage and fiber cabling, electrical systems, UPS, HVAC, security, and on‑site installations, while providing Level III

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in IT infrastructure design within multinational environments.
• 5–7 years of experience designing and supporting enterprise hosting environments globally.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, physical data center environments, and engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer IT physical infrastructure solutions for LAN, WAN, and Voice platforms.
• Support implementation and lifecycle management of IT infrastructure environments, including mechanical, electrical, and life‑safety systems.
• Oversee and support on‑site infrastructure installations, including construction supervision and hardware implementation.
• Serve as a technical subject matter expert, providing consulting support to business stakeholders and end users.
• Produce and maintain engineering documentation, ensure compliance with Abbott and industry standards, and manage vendors and project reporting.
