Job summary

Wilhelmsen group seeks an Information Protection Specialist to protect sensitive information and enable secure collaboration across a global organisation. The role partners with business, security and technology teams to implement controls and data-classification practices while enabling innovative AI-enabled security.

The successful candidate will drive risk-based protection, support governance initiatives and advise on secure usage of collaboration tools across diverse regions.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, data protection, or IT security.
• Knowledge of information classification and handling practices.
• Familiarity with security monitoring, incident investigation and response processes.
• Understanding of IAM principles and access controls.
• Experience with cloud-based productivity and collaboration platforms.
• Microsoft certifications are expected.

Responsibilities

• Implement and operate information protection controls.
• Assist with data classification and handling initiatives.
• Reduce risk of improper sharing or handling of sensitive information.
• Investigate information protection events and follow up accordingly.
• Improve data governance and information management processes.
• Support secure collaboration and AI-enabled security capabilities.
• Gather requirements from business users and provide guidance.
• Participate in security initiatives and projects.
• Prepare reporting, metrics, and documentation.
• Contribute to compliance, assurance and audit activities.
