Job summary

AstraZeneca GmbH is seeking a senior finance professional to join Global Business Services in Malaysia. The role focuses on statutory reporting, balance sheet governance, cash agenda, and transfer pricing, collaborating with regional markets and finance colleagues to maintain high standards of financial control and accurate reporting.

You will lead a team of analysts, drive process improvements, and develop capabilities in data analytics for statutory and management reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance/Accounting or equivalent; 8+ years in General Accounting/Controlling.
• Excellent English (verbal and written); able to explain financial issues clearly to non-financial management.
• Experience with change management and building engagement across diverse global teams.
• Experience in SAP and finance systems; ability to partner with Markets and Finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close process for timely and accurate reporting.
• Maintain strong control environment across the region; manage Cash Generation and Working Capital.
• Oversee Balance Sheet governance and ensure healthy balance sheet position.
• Partner with Marketing Company and Global Finance Services to drive financial performance.
• Provide TP information and support annual TP revisions.
• Coordinate statutory reporting with external partners for timely submission.
• Resolve complex issues; drive cross-functional root-cause analysis and solutions.
• Engage stakeholders to understand requirements and build strong collaborations.
• Supervise Shared Services deliveries and support people development for Business Controllers.
• Contribute to data-driven analytics and performance insights using BI tools.
