Job summary

PwC Malaysia is seeking an Associate to join the Global Sustainability platform. You will support the Malaysia-based core sustainability team, coordinating with Vietnam and wider Asia Pacific, to drive ESG strategy, risk management, governance, data, and reporting advisory.

The role emphasizes collaboration across consulting, deals, reporting, and tax, with opportunities to lead on proposals, manage timelines, and contribute to market development in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s with ESG certifications or modules.
• Relevant internship in ESG, sustainability, or CSR beneficial.
• Understanding of Malaysia sustainability regulations.
• Strong advisory mindset with impact delivery.
• Ability to collaborate with Consulting, Deals, Reporting and Tax.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; Bahasa Malaysia preferred.
• Ability to work across units and locations; self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Support proposals and projects focusing on cross-cutting ESG themes.
• Improve collaboration and delivery of sustainability work in Malaysia and Vietnam.
• Consult with MYVN colleagues and Asia Pacific stakeholders.
• Deliver programmes of work, internally or for clients as part of a team.
• Support project planning, timelines, and budgeting for proposals.
• Assimilate information quickly and handle ambiguity.
• Produce materials and frameworks to convey research and perspectives.
• Work virtually in a global environment with diverse cultures.
• Collaborate with teams to allocate resources for costing.
• Develop and participate in campaign roadshows with leadership and clients.
