Job summary

Intel Malaysia in Penang is seeking an Accounting Technical Specialist to act as a technical advisor and drive transformation in accounting processes, procedures and policies across global legal entities. You will ensure accurate valuation, reporting and compliance worldwide, partnering with global teams to deliver high-quality outputs.

You will lead on US GAAP/IFRS and Local GAAP knowledge, monitor regulatory changes, and support local statutory reporting.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or professional degree.
Professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CPA/ICAEW/MICPA) preferred.
Min 9 years of global experience in accounting/finance roles.

Responsibilities

Review entity accounting work to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and standards.
Act as technical advisor to stakeholders to resolve complex accounting issues.
Monitor regulatory changes including IFRS, US GAAP, and local GAAP; manage associated risks.
Support transformation and continuous improvement in local compliance governance and operations.
Lead stakeholder engagement across Finance, Legal, Tax, Treasury, and HR.
Support SAP S4 system design and implementation and local statutory reporting.
Contribute to projects involving budgeting and ad-hoc duties as needed.
