Job summary

Guocera Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Glaze Operations Lead to manage daily glaze operations and ensure production targets are met. You will oversee glaze application, decorative printing, and monitor consumption to minimize waste.

You will lead shift technicians, drive continuous improvement, maintain ISO compliance, and collaborate with production, quality, engineering, and suppliers to safeguard smooth production flow in a fast-paced tile manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Ceramic/Engineering field.
• 3-5 years in ceramic tile manufacturing or production engineering.
• Knowledge of glaze technology and decorative printing processes.
• Familiarity with PLC, HMI, automation systems, and quality management practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Good leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience in process improvement and manufacturing optimization is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily glaze operations to meet production targets.
• Oversee glaze application and decorative printing for consistency.
• Monitor glaze consumption and reduce material wastage.
• Coordinate product changeovers and maintain smooth production flow.
• Investigate process abnormalities, defects, and equipment issues; implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production, quality, engineering and suppliers to support operations.
• Monitor critical parameters like glaze density, viscosity, coating consistency, and line performance.
• Lead, coach, and develop shift leaders and technicians.
• Ensure ISO compliance and safety adherence.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to boost productivity, quality and equipment effectiveness.
