The GL Analyst (Mandarin Speaker) will be responsible for managing general ledger activities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting financial operations. This role in the industrial/manufacturing sector requires proficiency in Mandarin and strong accounting skills to succeed.

Description
  • Perform monthly closing activities in line with the closing timetable, ensuring the general ledger is accurately maintained and closed on time.
  • Prepare and submit timely, accurate financial reports in accordance with global and statutory requirements. Provide management with monthly close analyses and relevant accounting insights.
  • Process fixed asset (FA) transactions in the FA sub-ledger/module and ensure all required supporting documents are prepared prior to posting.
  • Conduct balance sheet reviews, clear account reconciliations, follow up on outstanding items, and take prompt corrective actions.
  • Prepare audit PBC schedules, and coordinate and support both internal and external audit activities.
  • Ensure compliance with annual statutory audit requirements. Support the implementation of robust accounting standards and internal controls, and execute corrective actions based on audit findings.
  • Participate in ad-hoc tasks and special projects as assigned.
Profile
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance or Accounting.
  • 1-2 years of hands-on experience as an independent GL Accountant; experience in fixed assets accounting and servicing China entities is an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of Chinese and US GAAP, along with practical application experience.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., QAD) and Hyperion is preferred.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and accountability.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent Mandarin (spoken, read, and written) and good proficiency in English.
