Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Laboratory Supervisor to oversee daily laboratory operations for civil engineering and geotechnical testing. The candidate will supervise lab activities, ensure compliance with standards, and support project requirements.

The role requires leadership, on-site work, and the ability to manage multiple ongoing projects while coordinating with engineers, clients, and field teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years in construction or geotechnical lab.
• Strong knowledge of material testing standards (BS/ASTM).
• Leadership and ability to manage a team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise laboratory and field testing (soil, concrete, aggregates, etc.).
• Ensure testing aligns with BS/ASTM standards.
• Review and verify test results and reports before submission.
• Manage laboratory staff, including training and task allocation.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.
• Monitor quality control and safety procedures.
• Coordinate with engineers, project teams, and clients as needed.
• Assist in geotechnical investigation and material evaluation.
