Job summary

ISPIRE MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. seeks a senior manufacturing leader to head day-to-day factory operations in a fast-paced EMS setting. You will drive production targets, quality, delivery, and cost objectives while shaping manufacturing strategy and cross-functional leadership.

You will oversee Production, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Warehouse and Planning, driving continuous improvement, automation and cost-control initiatives across the site in Johor.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Business Management or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant manufacturing experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management/plant leadership position.
  • Strong experience in EMS, electronics manufacturing, contract manufacturing or a similar high-volume environment.
  • Proven track record in managing end-to-end factory operations and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, continuous improvement and automation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the day-to-day manufacturing and factory operations to meet production targets, quality standards, delivery schedules and cost objectives.
  • Develop and execute manufacturing strategies aligned with business objectives and growth plans.
  • Provide leadership across Production, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Warehouse and Planning functions.
  • Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement via Lean, 5S, Kaizen, automation and process improvements.
  • Monitor KPIs: productivity, yield, quality, OEE, delivery performance, manpower efficiency, scrap and costs.
  • Own factory P&L, operating costs, budgets and CAPEX; ensure efficient resource use.
  • Collaborate with Finance to monitor costs, profitability and cost-reduction opportunities.
  • Ensure capacity, manpower, equipment and resources align with customer demand and growth.
  • Drive automation and technology to boost productivity and quality.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, environmental, regulatory and company requirements.
  • Develop strong relations with customers and resolve operational, quality and delivery issues.

Job description

Lead and oversee the overall day-to-day manufacturing and factory operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, delivery schedules and cost objectives are achieved.

Develop and execute manufacturing strategies aligned with the company's business objectives and growth plans.

Manage and provide leadership across Production, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Warehouse, Planning and other supporting functions.

Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, automation and process improvement initiatives.

Monitor and improve key manufacturing KPIs including productivity, yield, quality, OEE, delivery performance, manpower efficiency, scrap and manufacturing costs.

Take ownership of factory P&L, operating costs, budgets and CAPEX, ensuring resources are utilized effectively.

Work closely with Finance to monitor manufacturing costs, profitability, budgets and cost-reduction opportunities.

Ensure production capacity, manpower, equipment and resources are properly planned to support customer requirements and business growth.

Drive automation and technology improvements to improve productivity, quality and manufacturing efficiency.

Ensure compliance with quality, safety, environmental, regulatory and company requirements.

Develop strong relationships with customers and ensure timely resolution of operational, quality and delivery issues.

Work closely with international customers and internal stakeholders to ensure customer requirements and expectations are consistently met.

Lead, develop and motivate the management team and build a strong culture of accountability, teamwork, discipline and continuous improvement.

Identify operational risks and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.

Support new product introduction, production ramp-up, capacity expansion and other strategic manufacturing projects.

Provide regular management reports and recommendations to senior management on factory performance, operational risks and improvement opportunities.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Business Management or a related discipline.

Minimum 10 years of relevant manufacturing experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management, plant management or factory leadership position.

Strong experience in EMS, electronics manufacturing, contract manufacturing or a similar high-volume manufacturing environment.

Proven track record in managing end-to-end factory operations and leading cross-functional teams.

Strong knowledge and practical experience in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, continuous improvement and automation.

Good understanding of manufacturing costing, budgeting, P&L management, CAPEX and operational KPIs.

Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a hands-on approach to operational management.

Demonstrated ability to improve productivity, quality, cost and delivery performance.

Strong leadership and people-management skills, with the ability to develop and motivate teams at different levels.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, suppliers and senior management.

Experience working with international customers or multinational organizations will be an advantage.

Strong command of English. Knowledge of Mandarin will be an added advantage.

Willing to be based in Johor and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
