Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee daily operations across Production, Sales, Accounts, Laboratory and Administration, driving performance and sustainable growth.

You will lead cross-functional teams, set strategic direction, ensure compliance, and report to senior management while optimizing profitability and operational efficiency in a dynamic manufacturing environment. You will manage budgeting, cost control, and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as General Manager or senior operations leader.
• Experience overseeing multiple departments (production, sales, accounts, laboratory, administration).
• Strong leadership, communication, and strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage daily operations across Production, Sales, Accounts, Laboratory, and Administration.
• Develop and implement business strategies to achieve goals and improve profitability.
• Manage production planning, workflow, productivity, quality control, and efficiency.
• Lead and drive sales activities, develop new business opportunities, maintain customer relationships, and achieve targets.
• Manage laboratory operations, including quality standards and testing processes.
• Supervise administration functions, ensuring smooth office operations and coordination.
• Lead, motivate, and develop department heads and employees to achieve performance objectives.
• Review business performance and implement improvements to productivity and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide regular reports and strategic updates to senior management.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and capable General Manager to oversee the company’s overall operations, including Production, Sales, Accounts, Laboratory, and Administration departments. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing business performance, improving operational efficiency, leading teams, and driving sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage daily operations across Production, Sales, Accounts, Laboratory, and Administration functions
• Develop and implement business strategies to achieve company goals and improve profitability
• Manage production planning, workflow, productivity, quality control, and operational efficiency
