Job summary

SNSoft Sdn Bhd is seeking a game numerical designer to own the mathematical model design and numerical framework for games, covering RTP, volatility, hit frequency, pay distribution, Free Spin, and Bonus mechanics, and to continuously tune these designs for live titles.

You will analyse player psychology and behaviour to answer key questions about engagement, churn, lifecycle experiences, and how players move through features, collaborating with data analytics, product and operations to validate

Qualifications

• Familiar with core game math systems (RTP, volatility, hit frequency, pay distribution, Free Spin, Bonus mechanics).
• Solid foundation in probability, statistics, and numerical modeling; able to independently design, calculate, and validate game numerics.
• Strong insight into player behavior and churn drivers from data and experience perspectives.
• Prior experience in game numerical design or quantitative analysis in the gaming industry.
• Clear logical thinking and cross-functional communication; comfortable working in a bilingual (Chinese/English) environment.

Responsibilities

• Own the mathematical model design and numerical framework for games and optimize for live titles.
• Analyse player psychology and behavior to inform strategy design and lifecycle questions.
• Design and refine strategy optimization plans across the full player lifecycle.
• Validate relationships between game numerics and retention, turnover, and LTV; deliver actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with data analytics, product, and operations to track impact post-launch and iteratively improve.

1. Own the mathematical model design and numerical framework for games, covering RTP, volatility, hit frequency, pay distribution, Free Spin, Bonus and other core mechanics, and continuously tune and optimize the numerical design for every live title.

2. Analyse player psychology and behavior to answer key questions that inform strategy design: Why do players keep playing? Why do they quit midway? Under what conditions are players likely to churn? What should a new player's first experience look like? How should the team intervene when a player hasn't engaged with a feature for a long time? What experience and benefits should be offered as players move through different lifecycle stages?

3. Design and refine strategy optimisation plans across the full player lifecycle, combining numerical tuning with operational interventions to improve long-term engagement.

4. Continuously validate and refine, through data analysis, the relationship between game numerics and player retention, turnover, and LTV, and deliver actionable optimisation recommendations.

5. Collaborate with the data analytics, product, and operations teams to track the real-world impact of strategies after launch and iterate quickly.

Requirements

• Familiar with core game math systems (RTP, volatility, hit frequency, pay distribution, Free Spin, Bonus mechanics, etc.); experience with relevant game genres preferred.
• Solid foundation in probability, statistics, and numerical modeling; able to independently design, calculate, and validate game numerics.
• Strong insight into player behavior, able to understand player decisions and churn drivers from both data and experience perspectives.
• Prior experience in game numerical design, quantitative analysis, or a related role in the gaming industry preferred.
• Clear logical thinking, strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills, comfortable working in a bilingual (Chinese/English) environment.
