Job summary

United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd invites applications for FVP, Unit Head, Credit Admin in the Risk & Control Unit. The role focuses on cultivating a robust operational risk culture, governance, and regulatory compliance, with emphasis on financial/loan documentation controls.

You will liaise with ORM, CC, IAD, Group CAC, and other risk functions, and drive timely risk reporting and issue resolution. Candidates should hold a recognised degree in Banking, Finance or related field, with at least

Qualifications

• A recognised degree in Banking, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting or any other equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 10 years' relevant banking experience, especially in handling documentation for wholesale conventional loan / Islamic financing documentation.
• Working knowledge with Microsoft Office software including co-pilot, Power BI / query etc.
• Good / effective people and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Cultivating a risk culture on Operational Risk related matters.
• Identifying, investigating, handling and resolving regulatory and operational non-compliance/ breaches.
• Assist in closing out any audit issues raised by UOBM Internal Audit Departments and regulators for CAC.
• Act as liaison between CAC and ORM, CC, IAD, Group CAC, Group WGMO, TOGA and other Risk functions.
• Disseminate policies/procedures to staff; establish the first line of assurance in the business unit.
• Escalate and report operational risk events using the GOCEQ / GRC systems; prepare management reports for ORM review.
• Collaborate with business and ORM to resolve issues; cascade ORM policies and risk initiatives.
