Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a proactive educator for a teaching plus centre operations role. You will teach Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Melayu to children, monitor progress, and provide constructive feedback while supporting centre administration and events.

The role requires strong communication and a willingness to learn, with training provided. Collaboration with teachers and management is essential to ensure high-quality learning and a well-managed centre.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM qualification with Grade B or above in Chinese, English and Bahasa Melayu.
• Diploma or degree holders preferred.
• Good command of Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Melayu.
• Teaching experience is an advantage; training provided.
• Candidates should be organized, attentive to detail, and have a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Conduct lessons for children across Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Melayu programmes.
• Monitor and record students’ learning progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Adapt teaching approaches according to students’ individual learning needs and abilities.
• Create a supportive, patient, and engaging learning environment and communicate with parents.
• Centre administration and operations: handle enquiries, feedback, and concerns; support marketing and events.
• Ensure the centre’s facilities, materials, safety, and learning environment are well maintained.
• Carry out administrative duties to ensure smooth running and support management.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Student Development

• Monitor student progress and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching quality, learning materials, and lesson planning.
• Work closely with teachers and management to resolve classroom and operational matters.
• Support centre initiatives including marketing activities, social media management, student activities, and event coordination.
• Ensure the centre’s facilities, learning resources, cleanliness, safety, and overall learning environment are properly maintained and organised.
• Perform administrative and operational duties as required to ensure the smooth running of the centre.
• Carry out other reasonable responsibilities assigned by management.
