Job summary

IKEA Malaysia is seeking a senior store leader to drive operational excellence and a customer-centric shopping experience across the Batu Kawan/ Penang store. You will lead a diverse team, align with global and local strategies, and secure resources to meet customer expectations.

You will develop leaders, manage budgets and capacity planning, and collaborate with service partners to maintain high standards of safety and efficiency in daily store operations.

Qualifications

• Understand budget, cost and key performance measurements used to plan, follow up and steer the business.
• Understand the business plan process and how to integrate priorities into that plan.
• Understand capacity planning and forecast future needs at the lowest total cost.
• Know how store functions contribute to easy buying, customer experience and logistics.

Responsibilities

• Lead your team and partner with service office functions to maximise availability and minimize cost while keeping a customer-centric culture.
• Create business competence among managers by ensuring global and country strategies are known and used; participate in store management planning.
• Identify, recruit, and develop talents to build a diverse, capable team and secure succession.
• Plan resources and investments to achieve operational excellence and a long-term store capacity plan.
• Identify and remove hindrances for customers to secure an easy and positive shopping experience.
• Establish partnerships and service agreements to ensure safe, efficient handling and compliant operations.
• Monitor performance; act on customer insights and first-time-right mindset to mitigate non-conformities.
• Ensure a great shopping experience by analysing customer and co-worker surveys, brand capital and topics reviews.
• Position IKEA as a responsible partner with easy buying, simple payments and after-sales processes.
• Ensure function compliance with global/national regulations on health, safety, and security.
