Responsibilities

• Process customer payments accurately using the till and POS system.
• Handle cash, card payments and other payment methods with precision and integrity.
• Maintain a clean and organised checkout area at all times.
• Greet customers warmly and provide courteous service throughout their transaction.
• Scan items, bag purchases and ensure customers receive correct change.
• Balance the till at the end of each shift and reconcile cash discrepancies.
• Answer customer enquiries and direct them to appropriate staff members when necessary.
• Follow company policies and health and safety regulations.
• Support other team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding customer information and company matters.
