Job summary

Airswift in Malaysia seeks a Mechanical Rotating Lead Engineer to drive the design, selection, and execution of rotating equipment packages for FPSO topside facilities. You will lead across Concept, FEED and Detailed Design, ensuring compliance with codes and project requirements.

You will mentor engineers, manage interfaces with Topside, Hull, Marine, and Power Generation, coordinate with OEMs and suppliers, and deliver technically robust solutions on schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of Mechanical Engineering experience, specialising in rotating equipment.
• Minimum 10 years in a Senior Engineer or Lead Engineer capacity.
• Proven experience managing rotating equipment packages for offshore oil & gas projects, preferably FPSO developments.

Responsibilities

• Lead rotating equipment engineering activities for Concept, FEED, and Detailed Design stages.
• Manage rotating equipment package deliverables, including: technical specifications, datasheets, design calculations, study reports, bid evaluations and TBEs, procedures and progress reports, third‑party submissions.
• Define and manage interfaces with Topside, Hull, Marine, and Power Generation systems.
• Coordinate with OEMs, manufacturers, and suppliers to resolve technical issues and optimize solutions.
• Oversee project schedules, equipment lead times, and engineering deliverables.
• Ensure engineering standardisation, technical integrity, and incorporate lessons learned into company specifications.
• Mentor, guide, and develop rotating equipment engineers and team members.
