Job summary

Keysight Technologies is seeking a student intern in Penang to work on proof‑of‑concept solutions for high‑speed interfaces, FPGA integration, and data movement in embedded systems. You will help design and verify FPGA and software components, debug hardware/software subsystems, and analyze performance metrics.

The role requires HDL knowledge (VHDL/Verilog), FPGA timing and synthesis understanding, and experience with FPGA tools.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed degree in electrical/computer engineering or closely related field.
• Familiarity with hardware description languages (VHDL/Verilog).
• Understanding FPGA architectures, timing, and synthesis/place-and-route flows.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate proof-of-concept solutions involving high-speed interfaces and system integration between FPGAs, processors, and peripherals for test and measurement apps.
• Design, implement, and validate data transfer architectures for moving measurement data across embedded systems.
• Develop FPGA and embedded software components for interface bring-up, protocol validation, and performance optimization.
• Perform system integration, debugging, and characterization of hardware and software subsystems.
• Analyze throughput, latency, resource utilization, and reliability of proposed solutions.
• Document findings, prepare test reports, and present project results to the engineering team.
