PMX Malaysia Sdn Bhd. is seeking a seasoned FP&A leader to drive budgeting, forecasting and financial performance across project portfolios for our data-centre-focused group.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification: CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW, CPA Australia or MICPA, and eligible for membership, enabling mature financial governance.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, including at least 4 years in FP&A or commercial finance within construction, engineering, EPC, MEP contracting or similar project-based business.
• Hands-on experience forecasting final cost and margin on live projects, managing work-in-progress, and recognising revenue over time under MFRS 15 or IFRS 15.
• Experience running a full budgeting and forecasting cycle, not just contributing to it.
• Strong financial modelling: driver-based, scenario-capable models that are auditable by others.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Group's budgeting and forecasting processes, including timetable, templates, driver assumptions, entity and project budgets, and the annual budget pack.
• Build and run rolling forecasts updated monthly or quarterly based on project portfolio, order book and pipeline.
• Maintain rolling 30/60/90-day cash forecasts to support liquidity decisions.
• Develop scenario and sensitivity models for contract awards, market entry, capacity investments and funding structures.
• Own monthly management reporting end-to-end and explain results with focus on drivers rather than accounting movements.
• Present results to senior management and drive actions through to completion.
• Lead activity on margin and cost optimisation across projects, monitor tender-to-completion margins, variations and WIP.
• Analyse working capital and cash conversion across projects and propose terms and collections improvements.
• Provide business partnering across project directors and senior management, including investment cases and financial papers.
• Lead or contribute to special projects such as process improvement, SOPs, systems and automation initiatives.
• Develop team capability in analysis, modelling and business partnering and ensure coverage for budgeting/forecasting/reporting.
