Job summary

Private Advertiser in Semenyih, Selangor seeks an experienced Technician Forklift to maintain, repair and operate forklift equipment in our manufacturing and logistics facility. You will ensure safety, reliability and performance across warehouse and production areas.

You will perform routine inspections, diagnose faults, keep maintenance logs and support training for operators. On-site role requiring strong mechanical and hydraulic knowledge and attention to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as forklift technician or similar role in manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics
• Strong knowledge of forklift mechanics, hydraulic systems, and electrical components
• Valid forklift operation certification and, ideally, certification in forklift maintenance or repair
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance documentation
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve equipment issues efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high safety standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced industrial environment
• Physical capability to perform manual tasks and work at heights when necessary
• Good communication skills and the ability to document work performed accurately
• Preferably, experience with other material handling equipment or warehouse machinery

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on forklift equipment to ensure optimal operational performance and safety compliance
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and hydraulic faults in forklift machinery, including engines, transmissions, and lift mechanisms
• Conduct pre-operation checks and safety inspections before equipment is deployed in the facility
• Maintain detailed maintenance records and service logs for all forklift equipment
• Operate forklift machinery safely and efficiently during material handling operations as required
• Ensure all equipment complies with workplace safety regulations and industry standards
• Communicate with warehouse and logistics teams to address equipment downtime and prioritise urgent repairs
• Assist in training other operators on safe forklift operation and maintenance best practices
