Job summary

Malayan Flour Mills is hiring for a production engineer/operator to execute and monitor daily flour milling operations, ensuring production targets, quality, and safety.

You will operate and optimize wheat cleaning and milling processes to maximize efficiency and product quality.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills are valued. Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, ISO/FSSC 22000 is a plus. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering disciplines.
• Fresh graduates encouraged to apply.
• Experience in flour milling, food manufacturing, FMCG, or process industries will be an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, ISO/FSSC 22000, and food safety standards is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Execute and monitor daily flour milling operations to achieve production, quality, and safety targets.
• Operate and optimize wheat cleaning and flour milling processes to maximize efficiency, extraction rates, and product quality.
• Monitor production performance, analyze data, and support process improvement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot production and equipment issues, and coordinate with the Maintenance team to minimize downtime.
• Carry out routine inspections, minor maintenance, and housekeeping activities to ensure smooth plant operations.
• Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation in accordance with company and audit requirements.
• Participate in Kaizen and continuous improvement projects to improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, food safety, quality, and workplace safety requirements.
• Develop technical knowledge and skills through training and hands-on exposure to flour milling operations.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Chief Miller, Production Manager, or the Management.
