Job summary

Hiap Teck Venture Berhad (HTVB) is seeking a Maintenance Executive to oversee routine servicing, repairs, and inspections of the company’s commercial vehicle fleet. You will coordinate breakdown responses, manage external workshops and vendors, and ensure compliance with Malaysian regulations.

Your role includes inventory control and cost tracking to optimize fleet performance. The ideal candidate has a Diploma or Degree in Automotive/Mechanical Engineering or Logistics Management and a minimum

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Logistics Management.
• Minimum 3 years of experience managing commercial vehicle fleets or working in an automotive workshop environment.
• Strong diagnostic knowledge of heavy vehicle diesel engines, pneumatic brakes, and automotive electrical systems.
• Familiarity with Malaysian transport laws, PUSPAKOM inspection standards, and JPJ requirements.
• Exceptional problem-solving under pressure and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule routine servicing, repairs and inspections for company vehicles.
• Coordinate breakdown assistance, towing services, and rapid repairs to minimize delays.
• Manage relationships with external workshops, spare parts and tire vendors.
• Ensure compliance with APAD, JPJ and PUSPAKOM regulations and maintain inspection records.
• Monitor inventory of spare parts, tires and lubricants to prevent delays.
• Track maintenance budgets and repair costs; monitor fuel efficiency data.
• Update Fleet Management Software (FMS) with logs of repairs, fuel consumption and vehicle history.
