Job summary

Qian Hu Aquarium And Pets (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated Fish Farm Operator to join its Semenyih, Selangor facility on a full-time basis. You will oversee daily farm operations, monitor water quality, manage feeding schedules and ensure animal welfare.

This hands-on role requires attention to detail and the ability to work with a team in a busy aquaculture environment. The successful candidate will participate in health inspections, routine maintenance and adherence to farming standards,

Qualifications

• Willing to work odd hours including weekends and public holidays.
• Reliable, punctual and safety-minded.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Certifications in aquaculture or fish farming are advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain water quality parameters (temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, ammonia) across farming systems.
• Perform daily feeding schedules and adjust portions based on fish growth.
• Conduct regular health inspections and identify signs of disease or stress.
• Clean and maintain tanks, filtration systems and other aquaculture equipment.
• Record operational data including water quality readings, feeding logs, mortality, and health observations.
• Assist with routine maintenance tasks (valve operations, pump checks, system inspections).
• Implement biosecurity protocols to prevent disease outbreaks and contamination.
• Support harvesting, grading and preparation of fish for distribution.
• Respond promptly to system failures or emergencies affecting fish welfare.
• Collaborate with management to report issues and suggest improvements.

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Fish Farm Operator to join our team on a full-time basis at our facility in Semenyih, Selangor. In this role, you will play a vital part in the day-to-day operations of our fish farm, ensuring optimal conditions for fish growth, health and welfare. You will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining aquatic systems, managing feeding schedules, and ensuring compliance with all farming standards and regulations. This is a hands-on position that directly impacts the quality and productivity of our operations.

Key responsibilities
