Job summary

Michael Page is partnering with a global provider of rugged industrial computing solutions to hire a senior firmware engineer in Malaysia. You will define firmware requirements, develop bare-metal MCU firmware, port RTOS with drivers, and specify BIOS with external partners for UEFI development.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelors in CS/Software/EE with 6+ years in firmware, strong C/Assembly, Git, JTAG, Linux, and hands-on experience with UART/USB/CAN/SPI/I2C, plus the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software, or Electrical Engineering.
• 6+ years of firmware development experience.
• Strong skills in C, Assembly, and version control (Git).
• Experience with embedded firmware, JTAG debugging, and PC hardware architectures.
• Familiarity with BIOS, Linux, and interfaces like UART, USB, CAN, SPI, I2C.
• Ability to interpret schematics for hardware/software integration.
• Strong English proficiency.
• Background check clearance.
• Only open to local Malaysians or Malaysia residents who do not require permit to work in Malaysia
