Responsibilities

• Oversee operation, maintenance, and performance of all fire protection systems, including Smoke Control and Pressurization and Fireman Intercom.
• Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and testing per regulatory requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system faults and coordinate repairs promptly.

• Oversee the operation, maintenance, and performance of all fire protection systems, including:
• Smoke Control and Pressurization Systems
• Fireman Intercom System
• Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and testing in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system faults and coordinate repairs promptly.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure all fire systems comply with relevant Malaysian standards, Uniform Building By-Laws (UBBL), Fire Services Act, and BOMBA requirements.
• Coordinate statutory inspections, audits, and fire certification activities.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, testing documentation, and compliance certificates.
• Support fire risk assessments and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate and supervise external contractors performing maintenance, testing, or upgrading works.
• Review maintenance reports and verify work quality before acceptance.
• Monitor contractor performance to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Emergency Response

• Support emergency preparedness initiatives, including fire drills and evacuation exercises.
• Investigate fire system alarms and incidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Participate in emergency response activities when required.

Project & System Improvement

• Assist in fire system upgrading, refurbishment, and capital improvement projects.
• Review technical drawings, specifications, and shop drawings related to fire protection systems.
• Recommend system enhancements to improve operational efficiency and reliability.

Reporting

• Prepare monthly maintenance reports and system performance reports.
• Monitor maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion of preventive maintenance.
• Track spare parts inventory and recommend procurement when necessary.
• Support annual budgeting for fire system maintenance and replacement.
