Job summary

Mulia Property Deveploment Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Fire Protection Systems professional to oversee all fire protection systems, including smoke control and intercom systems. You will perform inspections, coordinate contractor work, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Role involves supporting fire drills, investigating incidents, and contributing to system upgrades and reporting to improve reliability and safety.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation, maintenance, and performance of all fire protection systems, including Smoke Control and Pressurization Systems.
• Manage the Fireman Intercom System.
• Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and testing in line with regulatory requirements.
• Troubleshoot faults and coordinate timely repairs.
• Ensure all fire systems comply with Malaysian standards, UBBL, Fire Services Act, and BOMBA requirements.
• Coordinate statutory inspections, audits, and fire certification activities.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, testing documents, and compliance certificates.
• Support fire risk assessments and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate and supervise external contractors for maintenance, testing, or upgrades.
• Review maintenance reports and verify work quality before acceptance.
• Monitor contractor performance to ensure safety and quality standards.
• Support emergency preparedness initiatives, including fire drills and evacuation exercises.
• Investigate fire alarms and incidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Participate in emergency response activities when required.
• Assist in fire system upgrading, refurbishment, and capital improvement projects.
• Review technical drawings, specifications, and shop drawings related to fire protection systems.
• Recommend system enhancements to improve operational efficiency and reliability.
• Prepare monthly maintenance reports and system performance reports.
• Monitor maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion of preventive maintenance.
• Track spare parts inventory and recommend procurement when necessary.
• Support annual budgeting for fire system maintenance and replacement.
