Job summary

Jobtailor in Kulim, Malaysia seeks an experienced Finance Manager to lead month-end close, drive accurate financial reporting, and manage the capital expenditure lifecycle within a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the month‑end closing process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Conduct rigorous balance‑sheet reconciliations and variance analyses to maintain total data transparency.
• Oversee the capital expenditure lifecycle—from budget planning and ROI analysis to tracking, asset verification, and reporting.
• Serve as a key contact for internal and external audits.
• Manage local tax compliance, including tax filings, deferred tax calculations, and coordination with tax agents.
• Act as a strategic advisor to operations and cross‑functional teams.
• Leverage SAP and other ERP systems to automate accounting processes, simplify workflows, and improve data accuracy.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant finance experience, with a mandatory background in manufacturing environments and familiarity with Multi‑National Corporation (MNC) cultures.
• Solid, hands‑on experience in Balance Sheet reviews, Internal Audit/Control, and Tax management.
• Demonstrated experience in managing the full Capex lifecycle, including rigorous ROI analysis.
• Proficiency in SAP is essential.
• Experience with other ERP systems, BI tools (e.g., Power BI), and Advanced Excel is highly valued.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and maintain a proactive, problem‑solving mindset.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualifications (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) are strongly preferred.
