Job summary

Flex is seeking a Financial Planning & Analyst to lead monthly and quarterly FP&A cycles in Prai, Penang. The role will build driver-based models, coordinate budgeting across units, and perform deep variance analyses to guide strategic decisions.

You will partner with business leaders to translate strategy into targets, liaise with tax and treasury, and prepare management-ready reports. Strong CPA/ CMA credentials and 5–6 years of FP&A experience are preferred.

• Typically requires a B. Com / B.C. S / M. Com / MBA /BBA/ BBM, any other commerce and Accounts Stream degrees.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly and quarterly FP&A cycles.

• Perform deep-dive variance analysis on revenue, gross margin, OPEX and KPIs.

• Make recommendations to management on cost-saving or profitability enhancements.

Job description

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Financial Planning & Analyst located in Prai, Penang.

What a typical day looks like:

Lead monthly and quarterly FP&A cycles including preparation of management packs, variance analysis, and presentation-ready slide decks for senior management.

Build, maintain and enhance financial models (driver-based, rolling forecasts, scenario and sensitivity analyses) to support short- and long-range planning.

Coordinate budgeting and forecasting processes across business units; consolidate inputs, enforce timelines, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.

Perform deep-dive variance analysis on revenue, gross margin, operating expenses and key KPIs; translate findings into actionable recommendations.

Partner with business leaders to translate strategy into financial targets and to track performance against those targets on a recurring basis.

Liaise between corporate tax, treasury and other financial departments and regional and local finance managers in developing internal working partnerships.

Generate financial reports for review by business team.

Conduct cost investigation as required.

Makes recommendations to management regarding cost saving or profit generating opportunities and profitability improvement strategies.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

Typically requires a B. Com / B.C. S / M. Com / MBA /BBA/ BBM, any other commerce and Accounts Stream degrees.

Typically requires 5-6 years of related experience in the Financial Planning and Analysis role in any MNC.

Related professional certification preferred - Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified General Accountant (CGA), or a America Production Inventory Control Society (APICS).
